William John Brink, age 87 of Chicago Heights, passed away on March 9, 2017. Beloved husband of Louise (nee Doody) Brink. Loving father of Bill (Terry) Brink of Mokena, Mike (Melinda) Brink of Chicago Heights, Patricia (Art) Katz of South Chicago Heights, and Karen (Brett) Slover of Momence. Cherished grandfather of Brett William (Nicole) Slover, Marissa Brink, Sara Brink and Maranda Brink. Proud great grandfather of Collin, Caiden and Cylee Slover. Dear brother of Marge Greenlee and Donald Brink. Served as a U.S. Army guard at the Spandau Prison in Germany and Veteran of the Korean Conflict. Received the Korean Service Medal with six service stars and the United Nations Service Medal. Member of the Steger VFW and past commander of American Legion Post 131 in South Chicago Heights. Owned B & B Fence Company in South Chicago Heights and worked at the Homewood Post Office and Bloom Township High School District 206.
