George Venturella, 65, of Eagle River, WI, formerly Chicago Heights, passed away June 18, 2012. Survived by his beloved wife Sheryll J. Venturella nee Kopel; loving children: David (Elitania) of Washington, D.C., Joseph (Leslie) of Crown Point, IN, and Victoria Venturella of Chicago; grandchildren: Mariana, Elitania, Lorenzo, Dominic, and Arielle; sister, Mary Seitz of Park Forest; niece, Tammy Venturella; nephew, James E. Dey, and former spouse Kanaye Venturella. Preceded in death by parents: Joseph and Mary nee Bartolini Venturella, and brother-in-laws: James R. Dey and James Seitz. Mr. Venturella served in the U.S. Army as Speck E4 in the 549th Quartermaster Company during the Vietnam Conflict stationed in Sagamihara, Japan. George’s love of the great outdoors, fishing, hunting, snowmobiling and photography brought him to Eagle River, WI where he enjoyed the good life for the last 20 years. Visitation will be held on Fri., June 22, from 2-9 p.m. at Heartland Memorial Center, 1340 Otto Blvd. (& RT 30) in Chicago Heights. Sat., prayers 9:30 a.m. to St. Agnes Church for 10:00 a.m. Mass.
