Ernest A. Sebastian, 90, passed peacefully on September 23, 2011 in Orlando, Florida. He was predeceased by six (6) brothers and two (2) sisters. He proudly served during World War II as a decorated member of the 103rd Combat Engineers, who landed at Normandy Beach. After three (3) Battle Ribbons, he was discharged in 1945 for injuries suffered in Germany, for which he received The Purple Heart. Ernest loved his friends, horse racing, Brandy Manhattans and good Italian food. He will be missed by all who knew him. Visitation will be held Thursday, September 29 2011, from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m and Friday at 9:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 9:30 a.m. at Heartland Memorial Center, 1340 Otto Blvd., Chicago Heights, IL 60411. Interment at Assumption Cemetery, Glenwood, IL.
