Charles R. Kelly

Charles R. Kelly, age 87, passed away on February 7, 2015. Beloved husband of Louise (nee Palmer) Kelly. Loving father of Colleen (Donald) Sellke of Shoreview, MN, Phillip Kelly of Topeka, KS, Scott (Mary) Kelly of Homewood, Mallory Kelly of Tinley Park and Kendra Kelly of Country Club Hills. Cherished grandfather of Kristen, Emily, Alex, Jeffrey and Katherine and great grandfather of Colin, Torin, Lochlan, Aidan, Neve, Eva and Tate. Dear brother of the late Dorothy Kelly. He was also a foster parent to 40 infant children. Charles served in the U.S. Navy , WWII, he worked at International Harvester for 30 years. He served as President of the West Pullman Retirees, Secretary of AECA Knife Club and was an active member of St. Paul Lutheran Church. Military Honors Wednesday Feb. 11th 10:00am at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery . A Memorial Service will be held at 12:00pm on Wednesday, Feb. 11th at St. Paul EV Lutheran Church 6201 Vollmer Rd., Matteson, IL Memorial donations may be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church.
